Media Review 2: 21 Jump Street

Wow. This past Saturday I went to see the movie 21 Jump Street; it was by far the funniest movie I have seen in the past six months. I would compare it to one of my all-time favorites, White Chicks, which I could watch over, and over, and over again! The movie stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, two actors who are very 'hot' right now. I’m not sure there are two other actors out there who could have done as good a job as them. It was clear the actors had a cohesiveness to one another on set as well as off, which contributed to the brilliant comedy this movie turned out to be. Although this movie is a comedy, it does have a good plot about two guys who used to hate one another in high school. A few years after graduating, the two guys end up being in the same police academy training group and from there the movie kicks off. It chronicles their hilarious, inappropriate, and outrageous triumphs and attempts at being "like the police you watch on TV". This movie is rather crude, but personally that is the best kind of humor. I laughed my way through this movie, and at times I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe. This is definitely not a movie for all audiences, but I encourage those who enjoy humor as well as the more crass side of things to go out and spend your eleven dollars to see this extremely funny movie about two guys trying to make their dreams come true.
Peace Out like a Girl Scout….
